Clean Water for Isla de Leon!

In May 2017, we built 10 homes for families living in slum conditions in Isla de Leon, Cartagena.
These 10 families now have a roof, a floor, and a locking door. We came together to provide a better quality of life for the community- but while there, we learned about another important need: access to clean water.
Help us raise $4,000 to provide clean water to the families and children of Isla de Leon!
With clean water, the families in the community of Isla de Leon will have better health and sanitation, and can focus on what's next: education, employment, and better health.

After the homes were built:
Now, let's help ensure the children of Isla grow up healthy and strong.
After funds are raised, they will be put to use by the nonprofit on the ground to implement clean water programs and ensure these families have access to clean water for the coming year.

Q: Where does my money go?
A: Funds benefit Journey's nonprofit partner Ushwara, with a mission of raising funds for social and environmental impact projects, and building global community through events and campaigns to educate and inspire individuals around global challenges and their solutions.
Clean water programs are implemented via TECHO.org.
Q: What happens to additional funding for a project when the goal is met?
A: Funds go into a general pool, to be applied to other impact projects via Ushwara.
Q: Will I get a tax receipt?
A: You will receive a tax receipt when Ushwara receives its 501c3 tax status from the IRS, expected by end of the year.
