Cancer Aftermath Assistance

We are a hardworking, honest  family of 6 who have always been committed to our family, friends, community and those in need.  Last October Mark (Dad) was diagnosed with Throat Cancer and underwent Neck dissection surgery and followed with Radiation treatments that were complete in February.  Laurie (Mom) works full time and Mark had started his own Renovation/Construction Business in July 2013 prior to his diagnosis.  He did not have a chance to get the business up and running well enough to invest in health benefits/critical illness insurance before his journey with Cancer began.  Although his prognosis is good, we have endured 10 months of little to no income for him and no health benefits to fall back on.  Due to unexpected side effects of the course of treatment, including severe muscle and nerve damage, to his neck, ear, and shoulder, he is unable to continue the physical demands of his role. We have exhausted our savings and credit lines and are struggling to keep our heads above water. Mark is exploring options on transitioning to a new career path with less physical requiremments but it will take some time to secure such a role and there is no government assistance to fall back on in the interim. We are appealing to anyone who would be able to help us financially, to help make this unexpected Journey a little easier.  Our focus has always been that Strength and Love will get us through, however we never anticipated that the healing period would be flawed with such setbacks.  We Thank you from the bottom of our 6 hearts !!
