<div>I had a rare cancer diagnosis back in 2019 coupled w/ radiation treatment ending in early 2020. This form of cancer usually metastasizes after 5 years or more. However, in my case, it is back after just 2 years. It’s aggressive, untreatable and incurable. I’ve known since April, in which I was given a prognosis of 6 months to a year to live. It’s been quite the process and journey accepting an expiration date. My recent trip to Houston was a last try at MD Anderson, but the news has been the same throughout. There are a couple radical treatments we are looking into.

<div>I don’t have many regrets, and I personally consider my quality of life to be more important than my quantity. I have lived well. I have pursued my passions to the fullest, and while there is always more to do, or see or taste or love or ponder, I have certainly filled out my card.

<div>There will be donation options available to help with the mounting medical bills now and in the future and to help my family with end of life expenses. Getting my affairs in order has been a full time job in and of itself these last few months. Hopefully I have more time, hopefully I can find something that helps life continue on, but I want to die well and in my element.
