On September 14th, 2017 my sister was  diagnosed with ovarian cancer.  The recommended treatment is chemotherapy which began in November and will continue through March 2018.  Although everything sounds very optimistic, we will also be pursuing a holistic approach which will incur additional expenses that medical insurance will not cover.  These additional expenses will include but are not limited to other eastern/alternative methodologies such as acupuncture, herbal medicines and organic dietary therapy; exercise therapy such as yoga and meditation; support groups and travel.
