❤️ As we come together to celebrate our 20-year reunion, we also take time to honor and remember the classmates we’ve lost along the way. In 2016, the Class of 2006 dedicated a memorial tree and plaque near our Senior Pavilion at Rec Park, a place that represents remembrance, connection, and the bond we will always share. This year, we would like to continue that tribute by adding a memorial bench and plaque nearby. Our hope is to create a lasting space where classmates, families, and our community can sit, reflect, and feel connected for years to come.
Funds raised will go toward the bench and plaque installation, as well as meaningful touches during our reunion to honor and support those most closely connected who attend. Any funds raised beyond this will support scholarships, foundations, and meaningful efforts in honor of our classmates, as well as thoughtfully recognizing families. This effort is deeply meaningful to us, and every contribution, no matter the size, helps us create something lasting in honor of lives that will always be part of our story!
We will continue to share updates along the way, including final plaque wording and installation details as plans are finalized. In addition to this campaign, we will also be hosting a “Hoops for Hope: Class of 2006 Tribute Event” during our reunion weekend to fundraise and continue raising support and bringing our community together. This will take place on Friday, August 7th, from 6 pm - 8 pm at Harvey High School. If you’re able to donate or even share this page, it truly means more than we can express. Venmo donations are also accepted for convenience, and all contributions go toward the same cause. This effort is being thoughtfully organized by members of the Class of 2006 20-year Reunion Committee. Thank you so much for helping us honor their memory and legacy!❤️
