Clart About Ltd was set up to address the issues around affordable educational play sessions in County Durham for children aged 0-4 years old, whilst also providing mam's to be and new mam's a supportive network to engage with peers for both themselves and their babies in the early parenting journey.
Our Mission
Clart About believes families matter. Our mission is to support new mothers and their families through the transition of early parenthood in a non judgemental, caring and shared environment.
Clart About promotes the physical, emotional and social development of children. We focus our work with parents by offering a stimulative play environment to enhance and promote positive bonding experiences between children and parents.
Parents are a primary part of our play sessions. When parents enter into their child's world of play, the child grows with more confidence to explore and learn thus creating a lasting bond between them which helps the overall well-being of mother and child.
We would like to fundraise with the intention of expanding our 'Clart About Cares' classes across the region. Clart About Cares Classes are free and informal social groups for expectant and new mother's to come together and share their parenting journeys. Becoming a new mother is a privilege and a joy but is also challenging. We rely on funding to enable us to reach out to new mother's and this funding will support us to continue providing this class for FREE! We have ongoing running costs to meet whilst we move forward with our mission of supporting new mothers who are often faced with a lack of support leading to social isolation which is a contributing factor in pre and postnatal illness.
