Clarkstown Pool AED Eagle Project

Donation protected
For my project I will purchase three Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for each of our town pools, build an information board, and set up a program with the town to educate the public on how to use an AED. My sister Caitlin Brosnan experienced a situation at Germonds pool last year where a man had a cardiac event at the pool. He was taken to the hospital via ambulance and did not end up surviving. My sister Caitlin and a fellow lifeguard at the scene performed CPR in the attempt to save his life. While we will never know if having an AED in that event would have changed the outcome, I believe an AED would improve the future safety of Clarkstown Residents and Guests. I also would like to install three Information boards which would provide information in basic first aid, CPR, and how to use an AED. My hope would be to fundraise enough money to cover the cost of the AEDs and Information boards for each Clarkstown Pool Facility [Germonds, Congers, and Lake Nanuet]. I will fundraise until I reach my goal of $5,000 to purchase the following items: three FRx Defibrillators, three FRx Carry Cases, three sets of FRx Smart Pads II, three FRx Infant/Child Keys, three Fast Response Kits, three Basic AED Cabinets, three Red Three Way Mount AED Wall Signs, and wood and cement for the information board.
