Chase, Jamie, & Owen our Warrior

Our favorite Clarke family has had more trials and blessings in the last two years then one sweet little family could need. The Clarke family began their hard journey in October of 2016, at 21 weeks pregnant, when what was supposed to be the happiest day of finding out they were having a little boy, turned into a nightmare.  At the gender ultrasound, they realized Jamie had an incompetent cervix, was dilating, and needed an emergency surgery to save their baby boy.  Jamie was then life-flighted to Boise where the surgery was a success and she was put on bed rest.  Bed rest was going great and there was hope of making it until March when their baby boy was due.  In December of 2016, due to some unforeseen complications, Jamie got a sudden onset of Preeclampsia and Hellp Syndrome, and within twenty-four hours they had a 1 lb. 14 oz. little boy sent straight to the NICU.  This sweet family spent 54 long days in the NICU watching their sweet Owen James grow.  In February of 2017 they were able to bring Owen James home, still on oxygen, but at least they were home.

Owen continued to grow and get stronger and was doing great.  This last week, February 2018, Owen came down with what they thought was just a cold.  Owen, being as premature as he was, has always had chronic lung disease, and struggles to breathe with even a simple cold.  Owen with this cold was really struggling to breathe.  They took him to the ER where they began to administer breathing treatments. Long story short, due to the extra work of him trying to get oxygen, Owen momentarily crashed and stopped breathing.  They were able to get him back, but the doctors and nurses knew they were not equipped at their hospital to treat him.  Again, Owen and Jamie were life-flighted to Boise where Owen was diagnosed with viral pneumonia and they spent three days in the hospital. They are all now home, exhausted, tired, and feeling blessed to be home together.

Now, with two life flight bills, many days spent in the hospital, and both Jamie and Chase working full time, the reality of costs and paying for all of their medical bills is adding up.  The first life flight bill, adding up to $25,000, was denied and not covered by their insurance. Even after fighting with the insurance company and trying to get it covered, they were denied coverage.  As great as their insurance has been, there are still many medical bills that just keep adding up for this sweet family. With all that they have been through, we ask for any help and donations that you can give to help this amazing family not feel the stress and woes of their medical bills.

The Clarke family is truly an inspiration of hope and strength in times of trials and tribulations.  They continue to put on a brave face and have a positive attitude through it all.  Please help The Clarke family in any way you can in their time of need.
