Clark Family HurricaneHarvey Relief
Living near Houston, TX, Stacie and Jerry Clark (my aunt and uncle), along with their daughter Brianne, have lost everything to Hurricane Harvey.
After several feet of rain fell on their property, flooding outbuildings and sweeping away chickens, donkeys, and cattle, the Clarks thought the worst had passed. However, it became necessary for officials to drain excess water out of a nearby lake. The Clarks, their five dogs, and their four cats had to be evacuated by boats and tractors, before water being let out of the lake completely washed away everything that remained on their property.
The family's flood insurance will cover some, but not all of the damage, and may take who-knows-how-long to pay out their claims. Meanwhile, this group of three humans, four cats, and five dogs has no choice but to shelter with friends and family, surviving with little more than the clothes they were wearing when they made their escape.
Any money that can be raised will be a tremendous help to them as they try to get back on their feet. (I'd love to collect clothing and food for them, but since I live nearly 2000 miles away, this simply isn't practical.)
I realize that the Clark family is only one of the many, many families devastated by Harvey, but this happens to be the one family out of the many that I'm capable of reaching out to and helping. However, I can't even begin to get them the aid they need on my own. Please join me in raising emergency relief funds for Stacie, Jerry, and Brianne Clark, whether that means sending a donation or just sharing this fundraiser with your friends.

How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible): Funds raised will help to cover living costs for the family until they can receive insurance payouts, and may be used to cover replacement costs for items that were not covered by insurance (for example, their flood insurance didn't cover their refrigerator).
