She has now been placed on the liver transplant list, but her condition is too serious for her to return home — she has to stay in Gainesville until a match becomes available.

<div>Since all of this started, Clarissa hasn’t been able to work, and my brother  (Nelson Felipe) and niece have been taking turns making the three-hour drive from Palm Bay to Gainesville to care for her while still trying to keep up with their jobs. The constant travel, time away from work, and regular household bills have created an overwhelming financial strain.
