Clara’s Stocking

Last year on November 25 we lost our daughter Clara to a stillbirth. We included her in our Christmas tradition that year by hanging a stocking for her embroidered with her name and adorned with a little angel girl.

My heart ached to know that stocking would never be filled, that little hands wouldn’t be pulling it down and enjoying everything inside. 

What resulted from those feelings was the idea to fill some “stockings” every year for families of loss and drop them off at the hospital around Thanksgiving, as that’s when we lost our girl. 

The stockings will be filled with comforting items such as loss books, journals, Kleenex, gift cards for breastmilk jewelry, and of course a nice stocking that the family can take home and embroider in memory of their precious baby. 

Your donations to Clara’s Stocking will go to buy the items to fill the stockings and the stockings themselves.
