Our sweet Claire was diagnosed with epilepsy right after she turned 1 year old (May 2013) (Below are videos of her seizures when they first started) Because of all of this, she is way behind in speech and does not really talk. She is currently in speech therapy once a week. She is now 2 1/2 years old and has been seizure free for 7 months! However, she is still not talking and Austin and Jaky are struggling to pay off the extensive medical debt accumulated since her diagnoses.
Her parents have worked very hard paying off the debt each paycheck by setting up payment plans and paying towards other bills not on payment plans. They have PAID OFF several bills over the past year, however it is nearly impossible to keep up. They have 2 other small children and with the costs of daycare Jaky stays home, so there is only one income. Jaky sent me an itemized list of all of the medical bills & below is the summary.
$8,810.10 This is the amount of medical bills on payments plans where money is automaticlly withdawn from their checking account every month
$4,334.02 - This is the amount of medical bills owed that have not been put on a payment plan because they cannot afford anymore monthly withdraws.
$3,500.00 - These are medical bills that were paid in full by putting them on a credit card in order to keep them from going into collections.
This sweet family is drowning with $16,644 owed to hospitals/doctors/labs etc. With your compassion and generosity, we can help lift this burden! Any donation amount will go directly towards paying off a medical bill. Every dollar and "share" counts!
