Hi everyone. My name is Caitlyn Somers, and I'm setting up this account for my sister, Clair Kotula.
As some of you may know, Clair's fiance has recently passed away. For everyone that knew Alex, even a little, words truly can't express the grief we all feel at this moment. Our hearts are so heavily weighed down by this loss. Alex was such a special person; a beautiful, caring, passionate, hilarious soul. His life undoubtedly helped so many people.
The aftermath of this devastating tragedy is one we are all struggling with; it has drastically changed our lives. More specifically, it has left my sister in need of adjusting under such difficult circumstances. She now must live on her own while raising her two boys, Carlos and Camrin. I'm setting up this page as someone who needs to help her older sister in any way possible.
Clair is my role model, my inspiration. She is beautiful, kind, and, like Alex was, a bold person who can light up any room. She's incredibly diligent, someone who has worked so hard to get to where she is. And, of course, Alex has helped her, and I am forever grateful for his life, his love for Carlos and Camrin, and how much he loved and cared for my sister. Now, Clair needs to live a different life, and I want to help her as much as I possibly can.
And, to be clear: I know my sister can handle herself. She could keep going without help from others, no problem. We all know that, we all know Clair. She is so incredibly strong, even if she doesn't always see it. So, by setting up this page, I am simply trying to assist her in the only way I see possible (monetarily, at least). I know full well that Clair doesn't need help. But I want to help. I know it'll make things less of a struggle for her. And that's why I'm doing this.
As I don't have much money myself, I'm asking you all: if possible, can you please donate to help my sister and her children through this extremely tough time? Everything helps. Every dollar. I set the bar high at $2,000 because I needed an amount to type in. If we reach that / go over that amount, I'll be so happy. If we don't, I'll still be so happy that I can help my sister and her kids this way. So, again, please consider this. I will be eternally grateful for any help I can get, and I'm sure my sister and her children will be, as well.
