Hi, my name is Kailey Fowlkes and I am a sophomore at North Pole High School in North Pole, Alaska. I have been wrestling for 5 years now and just won GOLD at the first all class girls Alaska State wrestling tournament!
I recently found out that I was selected to join Team Alaska and attend the Arctic Winter Games in Nuuk, Greenland March 6-12, 2016. The wrestling team will consist of 5 females, 7 males and two coaches.
The full cost for each athlete to attend is $3950 but thanks to the generosity of many Alaska sponsors, the cost has been reduced to $1150 which is my fundraising goal!
The money I raise will pay for my trip - the chartered airplane to Greenland, our uniforms, and all housing and food while there.
