Steve Fetters Kidney & Bone Marrow Transplant
Steve Fetters (65) needs a kidney AND bone marrow transplant (rare), something only one of his children (3) can provide to save his life! Time is of the essence ... Steve only has a 9 month widow! He he has been accepted in to a clinical trial for this dual transplant at Mass General in Boston. $15,000 is needed to help with his 4-6 month stay while away from his AZ home and business.
Steve Fetters has been a significant part of Arizona. Growing up in Chandler, attending Chandler High School (CHS Class of '73), he was part of the CHS Basketball Team and is the son of our former Chandler Nazarene Pastor. He owns an Arizona business and is a wonderful dad, husband and friend. Now Steve and wife Cindy need our help!
Steve is currently being treated by Arizona Mayo Clinic - not only for his chromosomal kidney disorder causing his kidney failure, but also for his recent “surprise” diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. A DOUBLE TRANSPLANT of kidney and bone marrow must be done and Mass General in Boston is one of only three hospitals in the US that
does this type of rare transplant. Being accepted into clinical trial was the first step - now Steve, Cindy and one of his children must stay in Boston for 4-6 months for the transplant, treatment and follow-up.
This is what Steve needs from us - his family, friends, and colleagues (including Chandler friends, CHS buddies, the Nazarene Church and religious associates, Point Loma Nazarene University PLNU colleagues, AZ business friends, members of his extended family, friends of his three children, anyone who has dealt with leukemia or kidney cancer, and others who might just want to help), he needs AT LEAST $15,000 to help with travel and living expenses while receiving his treatment in Boston.
Remember - Steve has only a 9-month window so please ACT NOW!! He must begin making plans to travel and stay in Boston for treatment at Mass General. Your prayers are needed and your well-wishes are needed ...but your significant DONATIONS are key to helping Steve get what he needs to live!
Thank you all,
Glenna
