Hello my name is Jennifer and I have a passion for pizza and would love for everyone to experience pizza the way I did for the first time. So I'm asking for your help to bring my pizza dream to life. I am looking to purchase a pizza trailer to make my dream happen.
Jennifer's Homemade Pizza had its humble beginings right out of our tiny little apartment. Sadly we had to press pause due to legalities. But we are more focused and driven than before. I would love to have the trailer before the snow hits the ground so you can taste my delicious pizzas as soon as possible.
Jennifer's Homemade Pizza is run by myself and my husband Joe. I have never worked in a restaurant (unless you count Baskin Robbins when I was 15) but I have been cooking at home for as long as I can remember. My husband has been cooking for over 13 years in one of Anchorage's premire restaurants. Now we would like to branch out and do our own thing. We have been making pizzas for just over a year now and found that we have a real talent for making pizzas (other peoples words not mine). Our love of pizza has been a part of our relationship since the begining. 13 years ago our first meal together was pizza, we had our wedding reception at a pizza place in Las Vegas called Pizza Rock (where we experienced real pizza for the first time). Now we're ready to make pizza our life. We have two kids 5 & 14 that we want to show with hard work and determination that dreams can come true. Our kids are both super excited and can't wait to work with us.
Have you ever heard that expression "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life". I always thought that was an old wives tale but it's not. I truly love to make great pizza and want to do it everyday! I have gotten very positive feedback and lots of great reviews on my facebook page Jennifer's Homemade Pizza. All those kind words have given me the confidence and drive to fight for my dream even harder, which is why I'm starting this Go Fund Me now.
What sets us apart from other pizza places is the love and care we put into every pie. We take pride in every part of our pizzas from the dough that is made fresh daily that is perfectly soft and crisp. To the San Marzano tomatoes and oregano which is imported from Italy that we use in our homemade hand crushed sauce. I want people to have a great pizza experience not just have okay pizza. Which is why we only use premium ingredients and focus just on the pizzas. I want every pizza to be its own work of art with the perfect balance of cheese,crust,sauce,and toppings. Each pizza cooked to perfection with the golden crust on the bottom to the beautiful crispy edges. I want every bite to be bliss.
I've never been one to ask for help but I have to swallow my pride and admit that we need help. We are looking to purchase a pizza trailer from the lower 48 and bring it up here. We have been saving for a house but have decided to use that to invest in our dream right now. I have also saved every dollar that I have made already from pizza. We have about half of what we need for the down payment right now. So we are hoping to raise the funds for the other half of the down payment, shipping and travel expenses to get the trailer here, and supplies to start up.
We're not looking for a hand out and we're not looking to get the whole trailer paid for. So your contribution not only helps fund a dream it also insures you get some delicious pizza when our trailer is up and running. Just think of it as making a preorder for pizza. We just want to bring our yummy pizzas to everyone and with all of your help our dream can become a reality.
If you are not in the great state of Alaska and would still like to donate I would be more than happy to take the pizzas to a branch of first responders or military of your choice.
