The Bad News:  
As many of you know, Julie underwent chiari decompression and craniocervical fusion approximately one year ago.  It was a huge surgery and the recovery was excruciating.  Julie felt better for a while, but then Bam!  She fell.  This fall is something that most of us would get up from and brush ourselves off and move on.  But for Julie, this fall was life-changing.  The hardware in her head shifted and her symptoms started coming back 10-fold.  And to make matters worse, it has since been determined that Julie's initial surgery was a failure.  Her bone never grew the way it was supposed to.  The fusion part never fused.

The GOOD News!:

Julie is scheduled to go back to New York in December to have a redo of her cervical fusion.  This time, her surgeon will be the world-renowned Dr. Paolo Bolognese.  And this time, her fusion will be done correctly.  How can I be so sure?  Well, you see, Dr. Bolognese fused me in March 2013, and my fusion is solid.  I have even fallen (several times) with no ill effects.  Julie needs to be fixed by Dr. Bolognese.  She has exhausted all other options.  And he really is the best.
