Greetings!
God calls us many different ways and typically gives us gifts so that we can live into that call. One of my callings is music. I love to sing and I believe that God has used my gifts of music to bless others. I am so grateful for that opportunity.
I have always wanted to record my own album. It is a life-long dream, and more than that, I believe with all my heart it is part of my calling. Over the last few years, many friends have encouraged me to reach for this goal. I feel that the time has come to live into this calling and see where it leads.
A recording project will take time and money. Many of you have encouraged me and offered your support were I ever to take this step. I hope to raise funds early in 2018 so that I might start the process soon.
There are a number of components to producing an album. I will need to figure out which songs to record, identify a producer and arranger, secure time in a quality recording studio, hire additional musicians, and decide on the best ways to distribute and market the final product. The scope of the project will, in many ways, be determined by the amount of support raised. All of this is way beyond my own capacity. I will only be able to do this with the help of all of you who have been so encouraging.
I am aiming for the stars here. This is a big dream, and I don't know what to expect. Like so many other times in my life, I will just have to put myself "out there" and see what happens. I trust and believe that is what God is calling me to do in this place and time. Thank you for your support, your prayers, your love, and your encouragement.
