Summer Programs YES Prep Northbrook
High School is a critical time for exploring one's self and building the foundations of a resume. Our 9th graders at YES Prep Northbrook High School are beginning to do just that. Participating in a summer program is a great way for them to examine various interests and gain independence. Several of our hard-working students have applied and/or been accepted to competitive summer programs. These programs include: Duke Field Studies, AFS Germany (study abroad), Texas A&M Sea Camp & Youth Adventure Programs, and Governors School. Despite receiving scholarships and fundraising, the students and their families still struggle to cover remaining costs. Our young adults need YOUR help making their dreams become a reality. For your convenience, we offer many ways to donate, including: this website, direct payment via Paypal or Venmo, or making a check to "YES Prep Northbrook Summer Porgrams" (tax deductible) and mailing it to the following address: YES Prep Northbrook, 1 Raider Circle North, Houston, TX 77080.

"My name is Jose. I am from Houston, Texas. I am a freshman in Yes prep Northbrook High School. This summer I will be studying at Duke University in North Carolina for the Field Studies program. The course I will be taking is law & social justice. This subject is very important to me because I believe it is not done enough in the “land of the free”. I have to raise $1,400 on my own, so whatever money you can contribute WILL help. Thank you!"
"Hello my name is Shane, I go to YES Prep Northbrook High School, and I’m attending Duke Field Studies. The program is filmmaking. It has been a dream of mine to see my name on a tv screen since I was 10. Now that I’m 14 I could potentially make that dream a reality. My only adversity is the payment for the program. I must reach $1,600 before May 20th. With your help I can show everyone that anyone can do something great, they just need to choose the right path to go down. Any help is a win in my book, thank you to all who help, you are shaping the new world."
"I'm Luz and I attend Northbrook High school YES Prep. The program I wish to attend is A&M YAP Game Design. I want to attend the program because I have dreamed about attending college and having this as my career. However the program is $1,100 and my family cannot provide that type of money. I applied for a scholarship, but will have to cover the remaining balance. I live with my mother, one brother that is going to attend college and a brother and sister that are in elementary; also, we care for my grandmother. This would be a true dream come true if I was able to take advantage of this amazing opportunity."
