This Memorial Fund is a tribute to Johnathan D'Shawn Bridges...affectionally known to all as John John, or Bubba, Beazy or Sweet Potato!
HIS STORY
Johnathan was born on July 21st, 2003. He was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome and born with a congenital heart defect known as AV Canal Defect, right hyperplasia. Within his first years of existence he had open heart surgery to make his heart function with 3 chambers rather than the four most people are born with. Over the course of his life there were numerous hospital stays of 45 days, 30 days, 12 days and countless other visits. Though these times were challenging, John John was always our miracle baby and defied the odds time and time again, despite doctors prognosis of living only to the age of 4. But God had a different plan and blessed us with 11 joyous years.
John John was our miracle...we shared him with the world!!! He touched many lives and has now gone on to rest. In his loving memory we are creating this page and fund raising effort.
John John was loved by all and many of you have expressed how you can assist or aid our family. We are accepting donations to cover funeral costs, outstanding medical bills and a gift to the American Heart Association. We appreciate all the love and words of encouragement we have received and truly believe we were blessed to be chosen as his parents.
