Max's Medical Bills and Rehab

Donation protected
Friday morning max was playing in the back yard when he suddenly lost the ability to move his back paw, soon after he was unable to move both back paws and his tail. My parents rushed Max to the vet who said that he most likely needed surgery for a herniated disc. Without question my parents drove him to the pet hospital in hopes of saving his ability to walk. Today max is recovering, we are still unsure if the surgery was a success, only time will tell. His Vet bills are well over 6,000, not including rehab.

Let me tell you a little but more about Max. He has not always had such a great life with such selfless owners. Max (then his name was Martini) was resumed from a kill shelter. He had been abused, neglected and had horrible mange. He was rescued by The Animal Rescue volunteers of Simi Valley. He was fostered by many people and ended up being the mascot for them. No one seemed to want to be his forever home. Lucky for max, my parents lived around the corner from where he was being fostered.

My mom fell in love with him and they soon became best buds. It took him longer to warm up to my dad but with patients and love he became apart of the family. Before Friday, Max enjoyed going everywhere with my parents. He went for 2 walks a day, and loved to sit on my parents laps. This poor dog has been through so much, it would be great to help get Max the rehab he needs?
Please hep our family continue to give Max a better life. Every bit help
