CJ's Eagle Scout Project - Drake House Flower Bed

Donation protected
Hello Family and Friends,
Please support my Eagle Scout project. For my project we will be renovating the side garden and entrance sign of the historic Drake House. Built in 1746 the Nathaniel Drake House is most well known for hosting George Washington during the Battle of Short Hills in 1777. We will be removing unwanted thorny bushes from the side yard of the museum's property and replacing them with a flower bed of historically accurate Daffodils. There are currently 7 unwanted bushes on the hill in the side yard that must be removed. With the bushes removed we will install stones to create a decorative planter wall for the upper and lower flower beds. After this is done paving stones will be placed as a path to a bench overlooking the flowers. The heavy steel bench will sit on a platform made of the same paving stones used for the path. We will also repaint the main entrance sign.  This work will enhance all visitors' experience when they visit this historic site.
