Our Mom, Sister, & Nana travelled to her native country Colombia to visit her siblings.
She had a Brain Hemorrhage/Stroke upon arrival and was admitted in ICU to undergo brain surgery hours after landing, and has been in an induced coma for several days! The Procedure alone was $50K along with test's, and doesn't include post op tests, care, fees, and what will be an indefinite stay for rehab. Getting her back home to Los Angeles is not an option in her condition, so we are incurring massive medical bills where her insurance coverage is non existant. Being an American citizen, Medicaid/ Medi-Cal doesn't cover any emergency procedures performed Internationally. Everything is out of pocket since her ICU admittance on Aug 1st.
We would appreciate any help, no matter how big or small to get Blanca out of this hospital & Colombia onto American soil where her medical well being would be covered by insurance.
