City of Naga, Cebu landslide

Donation protected
A village once full of life now buried under earth after a massive landslide hit 5 barangays in the City of Naga, Cebu, Philippines at six this morning, Sep 20, 2018.

Dozens of houses were buried and a number of people were found and confirmed dead. Whole families buried alive. This is one of the worst  catastrophes the City of Naga has ever experienced. An estimated 375-400 displaced families were evacuated and all are now housed at ECAC - a local activity center. These families who barely got out saved nothing from their possessions. As of the moment, the local government has given food and water to the families but soon enough, they will need more necessary supplies.

We humbly knock into your hearts - our family, friends and those who don't know us to donate whatever you can. The funds will be used to buy pails, towels, biscuits (to get them thru the day), water containers, toiletries and other sanitary products. We would like to raise around 200,000 pesos (500 pesos for each family). We will budget and buy the necessary supplies to help get them through the coming days. We will scout the evacuation center tomorrow and see what else is needed the most.

Our whole village treats everyone like family and most, literally. Our family alone lost 4 members today and many more are missing, feared dead. Although rescue operations are underway, we cannot just sit and wait. The government can only do so much. Please help us attend to those who survived and/or affected.

As for transparency purposes, we will upload photos of all that was received and given to the affected families, what has been done and what needs to be done.

Thank you very much and we all hope you can extend a hand. God bless us all. #prayfornaga

For the gofundme team:
My name is Shiela Marie Panilag, from Sindulan, Tina-an, City of Naga, 6037. Our family are victims of the Naga Landslide last Sep20, 2018. We lost many members of our big family in Sindulan, we are all related in the village by blood or by marriage. This fund will go to those who survived and displaced. Because of the massive landslide, a lot of my relatives and friends are now currently living in evacuation centers. We would like to help them thru this fundraising. We will buy the things that they need at this time, like underwear, blankets, towels, hygiene products and such. Clothes and Food are already abundant in the evacuation centers.  In this campaign, it shows that my beneficiary is Ms. Aiah Omambac who will be withdrawing the money. I am currently in Cebu, Philippines and Aiah, my cousin, is living in the US. When we tried to withdraw the funds, it is asking for a US bank account, phone number and address. I asked Aiah to withdraw the funds for us so she can send it here in the Philippines thru western union, moneygram or xoom - whichever is the cheapest. Thats her only role and I repeat, is not the direct beneficiary.
Thank you very much. Please let me know what else you need.
