My father, who is a 86 year old WWII vet & still works hard till this day to keep things going and make ends meet is about to lose his property & home that he recently paid off, however he owes back & current property taxes on it. He has just under gone surgery in December to have a pace maker put in but is not considered disabled so there is little to no help out there for them. I am unable to help him and my mother as I am also financially strapped after my financee got injured at work and is still dealing with workmans comp. My mother, father & I have contacted many organizations and no one can offer any assistance. All we keep hearing is "I'm sorry there is nothing we can do for you." They do not have much income, still they work hard on the farm and attend farmers markets all year long, but as you can imagine the winter months are a strain on them physically & financially. Banks refuse to give a loan as they do not have a steady income nor the best credit history. I myself cannot get them a loan either as my credit is still bouncing back from a nasty divorce. This site is my very last resort as we are not the type of people to ask for handouts, but it just kills me that I cannot do anything for the people that have done everything for me. The property is due to be sold at a sheriff sale September 20th. Any donations you can spare would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
