Help the Circle City Renegades Power Soccer Team!

Tax deductible

Power Wheelchair Soccer, also known as Power Soccer, is a sport played by players with physical disabilities using power wheelchairs which are adapted with specialized guards used to kick and maneuver the ball down the court. The Circle City Renegades are a brand new team operating under the Circle City Power Soccer, Inc. 501(c)(3). We are the second Circle City Team, and we are in need of funding for our season.

One season costs roughly $5,500-$6,500 for operational and travel expenses. We are a growing team looking to recruit a couple of children to the team who will need specialized Power Soccer wheelchairs to play. Any of our new players will be required to use outdated, used equipment. One of the difficult parts of playing this sport is that families don't have the funds to  purchase an entire new wheelchair for their child to play. If you can imagine, living with a severe disability is expensive, and many of the families don't have the extra funds it requires to pay for the travel and equipment this sport requires. That is why we are trying to be able to help fund their travel and potential equipment costs, so that these individuals, who may have no other social outlet, can participate in a sport and socialize with others like them. However, this requires funding to help start them out with equipment, travel costs, and tournament registrations. Our goal with this campaign is to raise enough funds to help offset some of the cost of travel for our players and families, and help obtain equipment for new, younger players, to begin to understand the joy that Power Soccer brings. Imagine having a child with a severe disability who you never imagined could be an athlete, but then the opportunity of Power Soccer comes along! If we aren't able to help the new, young players get started with equipment, they will never be able to know the enjoyment that being part of a team can bring. Their parents and families will never be able to cheer for them on the sidelines as their children are treated as athletic equals. If you can help in any way, any donation is appreciated! If you can't donate, please share this campaign so we can reach as many potential donors as possible.
