Cindy Colclasure Fights Cancer

Cindy began her fight with cancer in 2012. Her cancer originated as breast cancer then moved to her lymph nodes, lungs and now has progressed to her bones. She has had multiple surgeries and has relapsed several times and now her cancer has metastasized. She is seeking advanced treatment at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. Cindy will need several treatments that involve radiation medication and infusions to boost her low immune system. She is a life-long resident of  Elizabeth City, North Carolina and is an asset to her community, church, friends, and family. Cindy is a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She has been traveling back and forth to Florida to receive the medical care she needs at this time. During the times of treatment Cindy and her husband, Steve, stay with their daughter and son-in-law, April and Jimmy Taylor. Their house is outside the Orlando area. The distance to the Moffit Cancer Center is approximately 3 1/2 hours away. Right now we are seeking funding to assist with ongoing travel expenses and lodging near the medical facility. This money would help Cindy and her family in a huge way. Just getting back and forth from Orlando to Tampa adds up quickly. We hope to be able to raise enough money to not only help with their travel expenses but also with her treatments. Please help us support Cindy and her fight against cancer! We also ask for your prayers and to please share this post with your family, friends, neighbors, and loved ones.
This note from her husband Stephen wrote on their facebook blog to support Cindy: "Cindy and I have never asked for help but Cindy doesn't need the added stress that comes with us trying to find out how to pay the medical bills. Last year we were alright because we had a savings account and was able to come up with the first 12,500 until our catastrophic insurance kicked in in June. Our copayments started kicking in again January 1st. Last year we were taking treatment at home. Now we have "chose" to come to Florida so that Cindy can at least have a chance to get this cancer in check long enough for a cure to be developed. Now although we are extremely thankful that it didn't break down on the way here our car is now being fixed and will cost between $500-$600.  Thank you all. We appreciate all the comments, texts, and emails you send but most importantly the prayers because God will help us get through this." Please note that acting as the Administrative person for this fund is Cindy's daughter, April Taylor. April is handling all of the transactions necessary on Cindy's behalf. I can assure you that all of the money received is for Cindy's needs. I sincerely appreciate all of the donations and your prayers for Cindy. Keep on sharing the page and keep on praying for Cindy and her family.
