Cindi’s Ankle Fixer Upper

Our mom, Cindi, is one of the strongest, most generous and kind persons we know. She had a recent and unfortunate accident slipping on black ice outside her home in Warren, MI where she lives with and takes care of our grandpa, her dad.

Cindi broke her ankle in three places (tibia, fibula and one other bone) on Friday, February 9, 2018 and had surgery Monday, February 19, 2018 to “fix” said injuries. She’s now our bionic superwoman with a steel plated ankle!

Her primary and ONLY form of income is being a server/waitress at Charlie’s in St. Clair Shores, MI. With this recent injury, she will be out of work for at least 4 months, plus weeks and/or months of physical therapy to get back strength and movement in her ankle.

It could be a family member, friend, co-worker or even a stranger on the street. Our mom is always the first one to jump to action if anyone is sick or injured or just having a rough day. She’d give you her last dime and shirt off her back if it would help.

So now it’s our turn to help her in her time of need. Our mom has worked so hard for us kids and family and ensures she pays her bills on time every month, but now she’ll have her usual monthly bills along with hospital bills, anesthesia bills, doctor appointments, and physical therapy bills on top of her high insurance deductible.

We’re making sure her recovery goes as smoothly and painlessly as possible, but knowing that her bills will be paid for will provide that extra relief and peace of mind for her!
