On Labor Day Weekend 2013, Chris was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Within a week, his employer laid him off. Ever since, he has fought hard under a battery of chemo and other treatments. He also continues to fight the state to receive disability insurance payments. Meanwhile, the bills for both medical treatment and everyday living expenses pile up.
