Make Jesus Famous in East Asia!

Dear friends and family,

I'd love to tell you about a very important season coming up in my life. On January 9th, 2020, I will embark on a 6 month journey with an organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). As many of you know, I gave my life over to the Lord at 12 years of age, and have since sought to know Him and make Him known to others. Through 9 and a half years of learning just what that looks like for me specifically, I believe I will find that my time at YWAM North Cascades in Lynden, Washington will be one of the greatest growing experiences for me in my walk with Christ yet.

The first 12 weeks of this Discipleship Training School (DTS) is called Lecture Phase. During Lecture Phase we will dive deep into biblical study and missionary training. I have also chosen to participate in a Music and Worship elective throughout my time in Lecture Phase. In these first 12 weeks, I will be taught in a classroom setting and live in community with the other students. The last 12 weeks of DTS is called Outreach Phase. During Outreach Phase, my classmates and I will take a trip abroad, putting into practice everything we have learned in the first 12 weeks. We will not only study the words that Jesus said such as, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation,” (Mark 15:16) but we will also put action to them.

I will spend these 6 months living and learning exactly what it means to know God and make Him known. As I mentioned earlier, this is a desire I have had since I was a little girl, and I believe God has called me to YWAM to fulfill that desire. This is a very important upcoming season and journey for me. However, it’s not something I feel that I can surmount on my own.

First and foremost, I would like to ask for you to partner with me in prayer. Pray that my time at YWAM North Cascades and abroad will cause me to flourish as the woman that God has created me to be, knowing and loving Him more daily, and teaching and proclaiming the good news of Christ’s coming to those who don’t know it. Secondly, your moral support before my trip means more than you could know. There will most likely be many obstacles involved in this, but knowing that I have support and encouragement from friends and family will make this mountain so much easier to climb. Lastly, I ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with me financially to bring this dream to life. In total, I will need to raise $7,100. The first $3,500 will cover Lecture Phase fees including food and housing while I’m there and the remaining $3,600 will take care of all fees during Outreach Phase.
