Amy's Pottery Studio!!!

MudRoot Pottery is a dream revived!

For those who know me, you know that pottery has been my love and passion for years now. For those who don't, here's the scoop:

I worked at Berea College pottery studio when I was in school, and fell in love with producing kitchenware and decorative pottery. After school, I worked for Stone Fence pottery in Nicholasville, KY, Anne Helfer pottery in Syracuse, NY, Fort Boonesborough, KY, and I had my own small space for a short time here in Lexington, KY. Time and budget restraints led me to close the space after only a few months, but the response to my work in that short time was overwhelmingly positive!

Several years have passed, and I have been unsure of when I'd be able to pursue this passion again. Just last night, I came across some mint condition equipment for a very very good price, and the wheels (in my head!) started turning! I hope that with your help, I can make this possibility a reality. My goal of $2700 will cover a brand new kiln, with shelves and stands, A brand new electric wheel, some clay and glazes, and tools. I already have some of my own equipment as well. If we go over that goal, all extra funds will be applied to the cost of an electrician and whatever is needed to get the workspace prepared. I want to give back to you, as a thank you, so please see the "reward levels" on this page for a description of the gifts. Please email me with any questions or if you'd like to see more pictures!
