Cidney's Bicycle Accident

July 29th Cidney was riding her bicycle in her neighborhood at night. She was on her phone and got spooked On Sunday night Cidney's parents Daryl Avelino and Zoe Campbell received the worst call as parents, “your daughter has been in an accident and is in the ICU”.

The Accident

July 29th Cidney was riding her bicycle in her neighborhood at night. She was on her phone and got spooked by a car that did not see her, she overcorrected her bicycle and ran into a sharp wooden street sign. Since the neighborhood is poorly lit and there is no reflective on the signs, Cidney went head-on into the sign splitting her head and face open. This resulted in a broken nose, fractured skull, knocking out her front teeth - that also went through her lip.

After arriving at the hospital, the doctors sent her for a CT and MRI scan and detected bleeding from her brain. She was moved into the critical care unit. 

Recovery

Cidney will need to have dental repair and bone reconstructive surgery in her nose. (she cannot breathe out of her nose...aesthetics are not the priority) 

Currently, she is stable but the doctors are unsure of her discharge date as neurological trauma is a concern. Cidney is struggling with walking and vision and has a long road to physical and psychological healing. Cidney and her parents are taking each day by day and are feeling blessed by everyone's thoughts and prayers

What is the money for?
Cidney is under her parent's health insurance but she does not have dental insurance. She has broken her four front teeth and will need to get them repaired. The money you donate will be used to aid in the cost to help her smile again after this terrible accident and help pay her insurance deductible.  Anything that you can give to help her will be greatly appreciated.
