Medical/Topical Steroid Withdrawl

Please help me help my mom!


On July 25th she had a complete sinus and nasal surgery. She is looking at up to 6 weeks to full recovery, limiting her significantly. The surgery is believed to be a stepping stone to treating more serious chronic medical conditions.
At the present she is unable to work, or really do much of anything, (though not due to lack of trying, I keep reminding her to take it easy!) since the surgery. The goal amount is not intended to cover all expenses, but to help her out in this time of need, since it is currently a challenge for her to cover basic needs and medical expenses not picked up by the insurance. Stress and worry is not good for the healing process, this is intended to help alleviate some of that stress.

My mom is pretty independent but has been battling with significant medical conditions for several years [brief detail below] and it's catching up with her. The past few years have been particularly challenging, though many may not be aware. She works tirelessly at times and just keeps going, making countless sacrifices even now.

She has a determination to succeed. She has always worked very hard, while striving to make the lives of others better. She has made plenty of personal sacrifices, some in ways that most would never imagine.

I've seen her get in her car with literally a moment’s notice and travel hundreds of miles to help a family member or friend, mostly out of her own pocket, never thinking twice, not just once but several times. She attributes being resourceful and keeping life simple to being able to do such things but we know it takes more than that.

I want to help her as much as possible, but unfortunately I can't do it on my own. She's always been there for me and I want to do the same for her. I greatly appreciate any and all help, Thank you!

[abbreviated history: Starting from early childhood several compounding facial and head traumas have created ongoing health complications that left untreated were becoming increasingly more life threatening. Though photos belie the reality, there had been substantial internal damage to the nasal/facial structure and TBI. A first surgery was done in 2000, a second was delayed due to fear over potential risks. Eventually the dangers outweighed the risk and the surgery was considered necessary. Developing untreatable complex sleep apneas over time has taken a dramatic toll. Conditions were untreatable due to restrictions of air flow, and with one aspect of the SA being Central SA, there were concerns using sleep medications and other medications used for surgery and post surgery, standard medical devices were unable to be used. To compound this scenario there has been a decades long chronic sinus blockage that were not treatable with steroid treatment. It was determined, a complete sinus surgery with additional nasal work was the only remaining option of treatment. Results of chronic long term sleep deprivation have resulted in hypertension, chronic auto immune disorder and just pure exhaustion.]
