<div>On 23rd September 2024, due to heavy storms, Clipstone Brook burst its banks and flooded Church Riverside Scout hut.
</div>

<div>The wooden structure sustained significant damage, estimated at around £120,000. A complete rebuild, projected to cost £250,000, is the only viable option to ensure the hut remains a vital part of the local scouting community for generations to come. This is also the only way to ensure it could be insured against flooding in future.

<div>After careful consideration of feedback from the Scout Association, loss adjusters, builders, and current members, trustees have agreed to pursue a full rebuild. While our insurance will cover a portion of the cost, additional funds will need to be raised locally to make this project a reality. We have already had a GoFundMe page running that has reached a fantastic £1,550 but with the launch of more fundraising activities, it's the right time to get a new one running which is set up slightly differently.

<div>Our target is to rebuild our hut to provide a base for scouting for future generations. Any help you can give will be gratefully received and go towards providing a versatile facility that will not only benefit the group but also the local community.
