Chuck's Tumor Removal

Donation protected

Chuck has recently come into my life since his human Mom passed away from cancer and his other caregiver was unable to care for him due to his demanding work schedule. I have absolutely fallen in love with this senior guy. He is happy, silly, active and healthy in every other way except for his front leg. See, Chuck too got cancer and had one of his front legs amputated a year and a half ago due to osteosarcoma. He has adapted beautifully to being three-legged! However, his existing front leg has a different type of benign tumor that is growing so rapidly and has gotten so heavy, that if surgery is not done soon to remove it, he will become unable to walk and the only humane thing to do would be to put him to sleep. I don't feel that he is ready for that. He has way too much energy, zest for life and love for playing with toys to let this giant tumor take his life.

His caregiver has signed over ownership so that I am able to go forward with a CT scan to make sure the specialty surgeon can safely remove the tumor without nerve damage. If the scan looks good, they will go directly to surgery to remove the tumor. Luckily, Chuck comes to work with me every day where I do physical rehabilitation and hydrotherapy, so his recovery will not cost anything. However, I alone, don't have the money to pay for this surgery. Since the clock is ticking and the tumor is growing quickly, the surgery will need to be done soon.

Thank you so much if you are able to help in any way. Sharing this would be really helpful too!
