Reverse Chuck's Luck

Our friend Chuck has been the dedicated, caring, and supremely talented chef par excellence at Holly Hedge Estate and 1740 House for many years.
Yet, he prefers the title “cook,” which speaks to his genuineness and humility. He has lovingly created countless, incredibly delicious meals for our guests, the club members of 1740 House, and for us--the staff. He has made all our lives better by just being Chuck – probably the kindest person we’ve ever met.
Now it’s time for us to try to make Chuck’s life a little better. Recently, Chuck was in a car accident coming to work after visiting his wife, Lee, who has been in and out of the hospital for some time. Due to the accident, his car was wrecked, and Chuck himself was briefly hospitalized and is currently unable to return to work.
All of us have witnessed Chuck on his phone during a break, calling Lee to tell her how much he loves her and that he’ll be to the hospital as soon as he can after his shift is over. It’s that quality in Chuck that makes us love him. He might get mad that we’re doing this fundraiser, but we can’t let that stop us. Everybody needs some help sometime. We want to raise money for Chuck to get a new car and help with medical expenses. And perhaps even take Lee somewhere nice when she’s healthy enough.
Thank you for any help you can offer. It’s time for things to start going Chuck and Lee’s way.
