Chuck McCormick Funeral Expenses

On Saturday, 9/8/18, I got the news no son should ever hear...my father has passed away earlier today from his heart troubles and natural causes. He has been battling with heart problems for well over 3 years now and it just became to much. He was a great man that a lot of people loved, and he enjoyed telling stories about bowling back in the day.  My dad was the reason I got into bowling and other sports like baseball and soccer. He helped coach me during my high school bowling years  and also help coach me in youth baseball and soccer.  He was also maybe the biggest Cincinnati Reds fan anyone has known. Even though we had our differences, I loved that man more that anything.  He's the reason I am who I am today. Thank you to everyone over the years praying for him my family and keeping him in your thoughts. I know he appreciated it. He has no more pain, and he's with his father and the good Lord. I love you, Dad, and thank you for everything you’ve done for me growing up.  I love you so much. We will all miss you!

Unfortunately, at 23, you're never prepared to make arrangements for your parent's funeral.  You think your Mom and Dad will be with you forever (or until you're old and gray).  Along with dealing with the sudden loss of a parent, now I'm also dealing with the thought of paying for his funeral/memorial.  I don't like asking for help but paying for a funeral is definitely not something I envisioned or am prepared for, and my mom isn't in a position to do it either.  Any help that could be given would be gratefully appreciated.  I'm not sure how I'm going to get through the next week, but dealing with the financial aspect is scary as well.  I'm so grateful for all of my friends and family, and I'd appreciate anything that could be given, no matter how small.  It all adds up, and it would mean the world to me, my mom, and Dad's family.
