Chuck Hoffman assistance fund

Chuck Hoffman is a 12 year veteran of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office where he is assigned to the Investigations Division. He is married to Alicia, who works for the McHenry County Child Advocacy Center. The Hoffman’s have two children under the age of five at home and Alicia is pregnant with their third. Chuck also has a 14 year old son from a previous marriage.

Detective Chuck Hoffman has been off duty and in the hospital since December 23, 2018. He went to the hospital with chest pains and discovered he had a blood clot in his lung and concerns regarding his heart. He was transferred to a hospital in the Chicagoland area that specializes in cardiology. Once there, it was determined he had serious cardiac issues that required him to have surgery on his heart. He has since been recovering in the ICU. The Hoffman family expects a long recovery time and anticipate financial struggles due to medical bills and child care as they fight these long term medical conditions.
