Chrystie's Brain Tumor Surgery Fund

Chrystie and her fiancé, Chad, are the parents to 4 children. Chrystie was diagnosed with a large brain tumor on her brain stem a week before her 34th birthday in October. She has seen a couple local neurosurgeons who think surgery is too risky because of the location and nerves and arteries that are involved in the tumor. After researching surgeons with experience in tumors in this rare, hard to reach location she located a surgeon in Boston who thinks he could possibly get it all (which is the cure). Many risks are involved in this type of surgery, however, this surgeon feels confident of a good outcome. Earlier this week Chrystie and Chad traveled to meet with this neurosurgeon. He wants to do surgery soon but will wait until after the holidays to proceed. Chrystie will need to travel to Boston and will stay in Boston for about 2 weeks after surgery for recovery. Chad and Chrystie will be taking off work for surgery and Chad will need to be home with Chrystie during her recovery at home as well.
