Chronic Lyme Treatment

Recently I was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease. After months of being prodded and poked, and several doctors stcraching their heads, they finally figured out what’s going on.  I’ve experienced months of extreme joint, back, and muscle pain, severe vertigo, tremors and twitches, cognitive dysfunction, headaches, and lost almost everything that brings me joy: my job, my social life, fitness, and exploring the natural wonders of WNC. 

I was so relieved to finally get an answer after months of discomfort, finally getting to the bottom of this.  Unfortunately, it’s out of my doctor’s realm of expertise.  He referred me to specialists that all either refused my case or said they lack the education to ethically treat me. No doctor will offer me treatment within the local hospital system. 

The good news, is that I’ve found a specialist that will treat me in Asheville.  Lyme treatment is insanely expensive, misunderstood, and typically not covered by insurance. Chronic Lyme isn’t curable, but is treatable. With treatment I can get back to work, and go back to being a good friend, family member, coworker, and start living again. 

I don’t really like asking for money or even help, but I know that I can’t do this alone. Anything you can do to help me will be greatly appreciated.
