Christy's C925 Brazil Mission Trip

An AMAZING opportunity has been presented to me, and I wanted to share it with you. As you know, soccer has always been a big piece of my life and has taken me all over the world. Next up…Brazil! In December, I’ll have the chance to not only play soccer in Brazil, but to be a part of a group that will serve those less fortunate in Brazil. This trip is part of a soccer mission trip offered by C925, a nonprofit that runs the Cincinnati Sirens (my Cincy team) and Cincinnati Swerve (the men’s team), and has given more than $10,000 away over the past two years to local community groups that aid those in need. We will visit Rio de Janeiro, play and train with an academy there, and serve in the barrios (the Spanish word for neighborhoods). Soccer balls, clothing, and other useful donations will be passed out. Most importantly, we will also show the people that we care. A large part of what we do with the Cincinnati Sirens and Swerve is to use soccer as an opportunity to minister to the needs of folks in our community. This trip to Brazil will allow us to extend our reach into another city, one where we can make a huge difference.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the passion of soccer in Brazil, see the sites (Christ the Redeemer, Copacabana Beach), and use my talents to serve others. C925 is contributing to my trip, but I will still need to raise the money necessary to pay for this opportunity. This group is made up of more than just players and coaches. We are looking for interested individuals such as yourself, who are willing to invest in this trip, and thereby become part of our team. Any amount will help ($25, $50, $75, $100) and will be considered a donation to a nonprofit. Would you consider giving a contribution to make this soccer mission trip a reality for me? I want you to know how much I appreciate your consideration and help in making this trip a reality. I know this will be a life-changing 8 days for myself and my teammates.
