Christopher Chavez' Recovery

Chris was brutally attacked on January 19, 2018 while collecting the rent from his tenants. He was robbed and attacked with a hammer from behind and was almost killed. The Chavez' suspect that the attackers were connected to tenants that were to be evicted. They think he was attacked Chris to prevent him from going to the hearing that took place today on 1/23/18. The attackers have not been caught since Chris was attacked from behind.
Chris was taken into the operating room for surgery to reconstruct his brain. Fortunately, he came out of surgery in stable but critical condition. He has been dealing with swelling of the brain and his eye was swollen shut. He is currently recovering and becoming more alert daily.
Iris is at Chris' side helping him to recover from his ordeal. They don't know how long Chris will be in the hospital or how long it will take him to get back on his feet. There are more questions than answers at this point. Meanwhile, they are trusting God to take care of them, as He has been doing.
Chris and Iris are hard working people that have 6 children, Iris' mother and a son-in-law living with them in their home. If anyone is interested in bringing meals, that would be a huge blessing to them.

El 9 de enero de 2018, Chris fue atacado brutalmente cuando fue a recoger el alquiler de sus inquilinos. Le robaron y lo atacaron con un martillo, casi lo matan. La familia Chávez sospechan que el ataque está conectado con los inquilinos, ellos están a punto de ser desalojados por falta de pago. Se sospecha que el motivo era impedir a Chris asistir al juicio programado para el 23 de enero. Los sospechosos no han sido capturados, siguen prófugos.
Ingresaron a Chris en el quirófano para reconstruir su cráneo, su condición es estable, pero de aun en estado crítico. Tiene una inflamación en el cerebro y su ojo está hinchado, sigue hospitalizado y cada día más alerta.
Yris está al lado de Chris en el hospital mientras se recupera. No saben cuánto tiempo estará hospitalizado ni cuánto tiempo tomará para recuperarse completamente, hay más preguntas que respuestas. Mientras tanto, ellos continúan confiando que Dios los seguirá cuidando como siempre lo ha hecho.
Chris e Yris son muy trabajadores y tienen 6 hijos, 1 yerno y la mamá de Yris vive con ellos también. Si alguien está interesado en brindarles comida, sería una gran bendición para la familia Chávez.
