Christmas-on-Thanksgiving 2019

For twenty-three years, my family and I have been hosting families from 2 NYC homeless shelters for Thanksgiving dinner.   After dinner as a  special part of the event, there is a visit from Santa who brings an age appropriate gift for each child.  Over the years, many customers, staff and friends have helped serve our guests and assist Santa in handing out gifts.  Then, our guests leave to see the top Disney holiday movie (this year it is Frozen 2), while those who served our guests sit down and share our own Thanksgiving meal.
 
Traditionally, we have raised money for the gifts and movie tickets from our customers.   In recent years, we have expanded our campaign to GoFundMe.  Anything you can give would be much appreciated, as it enables us to get nicer gifts for the kids and helps pay for the movie costs.  Happy thanksgiving to you and yours.  With best wishes, Sandy, Ira, Brinley and Cara
