Help For The Keifer's

Imagine being a mother of two beautiful teenagers, a loving wife of 17 years, and being told you have stage four colon cancer that's spread to the liver.

June 20th 2017 started like every other day for Andrea, except on that day she was starting to feel increasingly ill. It was hard for her to watch the kids that she cares for in her in-home daycare program because she had started to feel pains in her lower back. Concerend that she may have a kidney infection, Andrea, went to the Dr only to be told that that wasn't the issue. Her Dr immediatly had scans run and blood drawn. On the 5th of July her world forever changed.

On July 5th,  Andrea, met with her oncologist who broke the news to her and the love of her life, Nate, whom she's been with since she was 14, that she indeed had stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer has spread and it is now in her liver.

Andrea has already undergone 10 rounds of chemo and she will soon be heading off to Cleveland Clinic where she will receive direct infusions into her liver. Since her diagnosis the chemo has proven that owning and running  in-home childcare is just too difficult. That childcare equaled out to be 50% of their income. If that wasn't stressful enough the house they have rented and lived in for the past 8 years. The house they had come to call home, went up for sale. With medical and utility bills mounting,  Adrea, Nate, and their two beautiful children are forced to move right before Christmas.

Andrea has taken the high road and says "I am very much at peace with this path. We are so blessed with every day and I am so thankful for that."

This unselfish family, is a family who would do anything for anyone in need. They are extremely involved in all the extracurricular activities that their two teenage children particapte in. Everyone in the Otsego community can always count on running into Andrea at all of the Otsego events. When you do run into her you can always count on a great big smile to be on her face.

With that, we are asking for any donation large or small to help the Keifer family celebrate an amazing Christmas together. We are also asking for donations to help with Andrea's medical bills and the extreme expense they'll be taking on with her upcoming treatment at Cleveland Clinic that she'll be receiving this new year. Every penny counts when you're only left with a few. Let's give Andrea, Nate, and their two adoring teens a Christmas they will remember for the rest of their lives.
