Christmas Toys and Teens Appeal 2022!

Please help! We are fundraising to buy presents for disadvantaged Reading children this Christmas. These children are unlikely to receive presents this year without your support. Every donation, no matter what size, will help. Thank you so much in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

It is with great excitement that we can announce our Toys and Teens Appeal is BACK! This year we are returning to normal, with donations being accepted at donation points across Reading. We aim to collect tens of thousands of toys and gifts from public donation points, businesses, schools and churches and check, sort and pack them in a church hall with the help of an army of volunteers and then deliver them back to the requesting organisations all over Reading. These presents are then distributed to deprived children aged 0-16 years across Reading and its surrounding areas.

In conjunction with our normal appeal, this year we’re also launching our Go Fund Me monetary appeal. We’re raising this money to buy new presents for age groups that aren’t provided for, typically teenagers, batteries for toys (they need a lot!) and as an easier way to donate for those that can’t access our donation points or don’t know what to buy.

More information about Reading Family Aid Group: Our mission is to put a smile on the faces of disadvantaged children in the Reading area. We help children living with poverty and other disadvantages. They may be young carers or living in a family affected by drug taking, physical abuse, chronic illness or disability; or they may have a disability or illness themselves. We distribute toys at Christmas through our Toys & Teens Appeal. If our funds permit, we also provide outings for children and their families who couldn't afford to go otherwise.
