Without it, he faces chronic pain, decreasing mobility, and the heartbreaking possibility of no longer being able to work by my side. This surgery isn’t optional—it’s essential. It’s his chance to walk comfortably again, and my chance to keep living independently with the partner who never leaves my side. As a disabled veteran living with limited mobility, seizures, back injury, and PTSD, this cost is beyond what I can shoulder alone. But I believe in community—and in Christmas miracles.

<div> Fozzie is a seven-year-old goldendoodle with the heart of a teddy bear and the wisdom of an old soul. My kids call him “the favorite son,” and honestly, they’re not wrong. Every day, he gives me grounding when I dissociate, calm when my PTSD surges, safety when my mobility and seizures fail me, and unconditional, steady love. His warm weight brings me back to the present, and his gentle nudges remind me I’m not alone. He has carried me through so much. Now he needs us to carry him.
