Christmas Joy at Trama

Christmas is basically around the corner! Let’s spread some joy in form of little gifts for the ones who really could use some kindness and support.

Trama Textiles is an association of artisan women backstrap weavers. Our mission is to create work for fair wages for these women, to support their families and communities, and to preserve and develop cultural traditions.
We work directly with the women from the rural regions of Guatemala. Nevertheless, nutrition, health care and education are major issues in the rural communities. The Christmas festivities are the perfect time to offer additional support and give back some love and joy.

Like last year we are again hoping for your help to create mindful caring packages to give to our weavers and their families.
This year we will be visiting 200 families in 10 rural communites all over Guatemala.
We are providing essentials like:
- nutrition (basic food supplies:  beans, rice, treats)
- educational equipment (notebooks, pencils, reading glasses)
- toys for the little ones

With your contribution Trama Textiles is able to support the women and their families and continue to maintain the textile crafts and traditions.
