Christmas In the Park Sacramento

Since 1999, groups of friends and families gather in Caesar Chavez Park  in downtown Sacramento on Christmas morning to hand out gifts, food, and clothing to anyone in need. What started with a child’s big heart and 20 lunch bags has grown to hundreds being served by scores of volunteers.

This year's sheltering in place and social distancing has resulted in a serious shortage of supplies for the backpacks (which normally contain new socks, gloves, hats, toiletries, toilet paper, food, and hand warmers). All money raised will be used to purchase these items.

We also always encourage anyone who can to join us in the park Christmas morning and help make someone's difficult day a bit brighter. For any questions about the event, please contact Judy Serafini directly.
