North Vietnam. On February 26th, 2020 we, Serena, Kathi Eric and Nick, saw a little boy, Chu, on the street around midnight. He was all alone, wearing broken clothes and rummaging around in the trash. We couldn't leave him there so we took him to our hostel. After a hot shower, he was given new clothes and a bed in our room, where he slept that night. It was clear to us that we couldn't leave the village without being sure that someone would take care of the boy. We contacted the child protection organization Blue Dragon in Vietnam, which immediately announced help. Before we left the village, we went to look for the house where Chu had lived with his father (unfortunately an alcoholic). We brought some food and clothes while we waited for the Blue Dragon staff. We learned that Chu had lived on the street for the past month and slept in a cave by the river, where it was very cold at night. His mother had left the family and his older brother Gió had also run away from home. Blue Dragon was able to track down Chu's brother. Since then, social workers and a foster family have been looking after them in the long term thanks to our and your donations. Once or twice a year, in cooperation with the Blue Dragon association in Vietnam and the German representation Blue Dragon Germany, we try to collect money to enable Chu and Gio to have a decent childhood and school education. A lot has happened in the last two years. Chu lives with a foster family who works closely with Blue Dragon. There he can play, go to school, live under one roof and feel safe. Chu is very fond of school and is a talented, curious kid. The older brother Gió has decided to stay with his father. He has difficulty getting used to school and new life. That is why social workers are working on site to convince Gió to attend school, which unfortunately he is currently not doing. But we want to make sure in the future too that he has the opportunity to change his life if he wants to. Therefore we do not leave him alone and continue to support him with donations. Vietnam del Nord. Il 26 febbraio 2020 noi, Serena, Kathi Eric e Nick, troviamo un bambino per strada, Chu, verso la mezzanotte. Era solo, indossava vestiti sporchissimi e rovistava nella spazzatura. Non potevamo lasciarlo lì, quindi lo abbiamo portato nel nostro ostello. Dopo una doccia calda e vestiti nuovi finalmente un letto caldo dove dormire per la notte. Ovviamente non potevamo lasciare il villaggio senza essere sicuri che qualcuno si sarebbe preso cura del bambino. Abbiamo contattato l'organizzazione per la protezione dell'infanzia Blue Dragon in Vietnam, che ci ha aiuto il giorno stesso. Prima di lasciare il villaggio, ci siamo messi alla ricerca della casa dove Chu aveva viveva prima con suo padre (purtroppo alcolizzato). Abbiamo portato del cibo e dei vestiti mentre aspettavamo lo staff del Blue Dragon. Abbiamo appreso che Chu stava vivendo per strada nell'ultimo mese e dormiva in una grotta vicino al fiume, dove di notte era molto freddo. Sua madre lasciò la famiglia e anche suo fratello maggiore Gió scappò di casa. Blue Dragon è stata in grado di rintracciare anche il fratello di Chu. Da allora, gli assistenti sociali e una famiglia affidataria si prendono cura di loro a lungo termine grazie alle nostre e vostre donazioni. Una o due volte l'anno, in collaborazione con l'associazione Blue Dragon in Vietnam e la rappresentanza tedesca Blue Dragon Germany, cerchiamo di raccogliere fondi per consentire a Chu e Gio di avere un'infanzia e un'istruzione scolastica decenti. Negli ultimi due anni sono successe molte cose. Chu vive con una famiglia affidataria che lavora a stretto contatto con Blue Dragon. Lì può giocare, andare a scuola, vivere sotto lo stesso tetto e sentirsi al sicuro. Chu ama molto la scuola ed è un ragazzo talentuoso e curioso. Il fratello maggiore Gió ha deciso di restare con il padre. Ha difficoltà ad abituarsi alla scuola e alla nuova vita. Ecco perché gli assistenti sociali stanno lavorando sul posto per convincere Gió a frequentare la scuola, cosa che purtroppo al momento non sta facendo. Ma vogliamo assicurarci anche in futuro che abbia l'opportunità di cambiare vita se lo desidera. Per questo non lo lasciamo solo e continuiamo a sostenerlo con donazioni. Nordvietnam. Am 26.02.2020 sahen wir, Serena, Kathi Eric und Nick, gegen Mitternacht einen kleinen Jungen auf der Straße, Chu. Er war ganz alleine, trug kaputte Kleidung und wühlte im Müll. Wir konnten ihn nicht dort zurücklassen, also nahmen wir ihn mit in unser Hostel. Nach einer heißen Dusche bekam er neue Kleidung und ein Bett in unserem Zimmer, in dem er die Nacht schlief. Für uns stand fest: Wir konnten das Dorf nicht verlassen, ohne sicher zu sein, dass sich jemand um den Jungen kümmert. Wir kontaktierten die Kinderschutzorganisation Blue Dragon in Vietnam, die sofort Hilfe ankündigte.

Bevor wir das Dorf verließen, machten wir uns auf die Suche nach dem Haus, in dem Chu mit seinem Vater (leider Alkoholiker) gelebt hatte. Wir brachten etwas Essen und Kleidung, während wir auf die Mitarbeitenden von Blue Dragon warteten. Wir erfuhren, dass Chu den ganzen letzten Monat auf der Straße gelebt und in einer Höhle am Fluss geschlafen hatte, wo es nachts sehr kalt war. Seine Mutter hatte die Familie verlassen und auch sein großer Bruder Gió war von zu Hause weggelaufen. Blue Dragon konnte den Bruder von Chu aufspüren.

Seit dem kümmern sich Sozialarbeiter*innen und eine Pflegefamilie auch dank unserer und eurer Spenden langfristig um sie. Wir versuchen ein- oder zweimal im Jahr, in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Verein Blue Dragon in Vietnam und der deutschen Vertretung Blue Dragon Germany, Geld zu sammeln, um Chu und Gio eine anständige Kindheit und Schulbildung zu ermöglichen.

In den letzten zwei Jahren ist einiges passiert. Chu lebt bei einer Pflegefamilie, die eng mit Blue Dragon zusammenarbeitet. Dort kann er spielen, zur Schule gehen, unter einem Dach leben und sich sicher fühlen. Chu mag die Schule sehr gerne und ist ein talentiertes, neugieriges Kind. Der ältere Bruder Gió hat sich entschieden, bei seinem Vater zu bleiben. Er hat Schwierigkeiten, sich an die Schule und das neue Leben zu gewöhnen. Deswegen arbeiten Sozialarbeiter*innen vor Ort daran, Gió zu überzeugen, die Schule zu besuchen, was er aktuell leider nicht tut. Doch wir möchten auch in Zukunft sicherstellen, dass er die Möglichkeit hat, sein Leben zu verändern, wenn er es möchte. Daher lassen wir ihn nicht alleine und unterstützen auch ihn weiterhin mit Spenden.

Nord Vietnam. Le 26 février 2020, nous, Serena, Kathi Eric et Nick, avons vu un petit garçon, Chu, dans la rue vers minuit. Il était tout seul, portant des vêtements cassés et fouillant dans les poubelles. Nous ne pouvions pas le laisser là-bas alors nous l'avons emmené à notre auberge. Après une douche chaude, on lui a donné de nouveaux vêtements et un lit dans notre chambre, où il a dormi cette nuit-là. Il était clair pour nous que nous ne pouvions pas quitter le village sans être sûrs que quelqu'un s'occuperait du garçon. Nous avons contacté l'organisation de protection de l'enfance Blue Dragon au Vietnam, qui a immédiatement annoncé une aide. Avant de quitter le village, nous sommes allés chercher la maison où Chu avait vécu avec son père (malheureusement alcoolique). Nous avons apporté de la nourriture et des vêtements pendant que nous attendions le personnel du Blue Dragon. Nous avons appris que Chu vivait dans la rue depuis un mois et dormait dans une grotte au bord de la rivière, où il faisait très froid la nuit. Sa mère avait quitté la famille et son frère aîné Gió s'était également enfui de la maison. Blue Dragon a réussi à retrouver le frère de Chu. Depuis, des travailleurs sociaux et une famille d'accueil s'occupent d'eux dans la durée grâce à nos et vos dons. Une à deux fois par an, en coopération avec l'association Blue Dragon au Vietnam et la représentation allemande Blue Dragon Germany, nous essayons de collecter de l'argent pour permettre à Chu et Gio d'avoir une enfance et une éducation scolaire décentes. Il s'est passé beaucoup de choses ces deux dernières années. Chu vit dans une famille d'accueil qui travaille en étroite collaboration avec Blue Dragon. Là, il peut jouer, aller à l'école, vivre sous un même toit et se sentir en sécurité. Chu aime beaucoup l'école et est un enfant talentueux et curieux. Le frère aîné Gió a décidé de rester avec son père. Il a du mal à s'habituer à l'école et à une nouvelle vie. C'est pourquoi les travailleurs sociaux travaillent sur place pour convaincre Gió d'aller à l'école, ce qu'il ne fait malheureusement pas actuellement. Mais nous voulons aussi nous assurer à l'avenir qu'il ait la possibilité de changer de vie s'il le souhaite. Par conséquent, nous ne le laissons pas seul et continuons à le soutenir avec des dons.
