Christmas fundraiser for SPRED

For the past 13 years, we have coordinated a Christmas gift drive for the families of SPRED (Special Religious Development), a program based out of St. Pius V church in the Pilsen community, in Chicago.  SPRED provides support and resources for children and young adults, in low-income families, with developmental disabilities.  They receive minimal funding for the program, and the staff are the parents that volunteer their time to help run this program.

Because of the pandemic, their program was put on hold this year, and their annual Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations were cancelled.  With our annual Christmas gift drive also cancelled, we decided to go virtual and raise the funds to be able to purchase gifts for these families.  We believe that the pandemic should not stop these families from having a great Christmas.  

With your help and support, we can help spread the joy of Christmas to every one of these children.  Our goal is to raise enough money to be able to buy gifts for all the children in the program, as well as their siblings, to help ease the burden on the parents, who have also been impacted by the pandemic.
